Furrunnecia Newberry

Furrunnecia Newberry has worked in the mental health field since 2012, beginning her career as a childcare worker in a group home for teen girls on Chicago’s West Side. She now serves as the Clinical Director of the Chicago South Counseling Solutions team at Kids Above All.

A therapist at heart, Furrunnecia is rooted in trauma‑informed care and integrates approaches such as EMDR, sound and vibration therapy, and other holistic modalities. In her leadership role, she also provides clinical and reflective supervision to a team of therapists, ensuring high‑quality, individualized care for every client.
