Kids Above All is excited today to announce Sarah English as the organization’s first-ever Chief Development Officer, effective April 1. In this role, English will oversee Kids Above All’s resource development team and fundraising efforts to advance the organization’s mission of building better lives for children and families.
“Sarah’s vast experience, proven track record of fundraising success, and strong leadership will elevate Kids Above All to the next level as we provide opportunities for more young people facing poverty, violence, and injustice in and around Chicago. We are thrilled to welcome Sarah to Team Kids Above All,” said Dan Kotowski, President & CEO.
“It is a true honor to join the Kids Above All team and lead efforts to cultivate new partnerships and secure philanthropic funding to support the organization’s vital mission,” said Sarah English, Chief Development Officer. “I am excited to be part of this historic institution that has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of children over the past 130 years.”
English brings nearly 20 years of experience driving fundraising growth to Kids Above All. Most recently, Sarah served as Vice President of Development at Haymarket Center, where she played a key role in expanding the organization’s philanthropic reach, increasing annual revenue, and establishing the foundation for long-term growth and sustainability.
Before Haymarket, Sarah held roles at several Chicago-based nonprofits focused on social justice and health equity. She led efforts to diversify funding, strengthen donor relationships, and implement engagement strategies that expanded philanthropic support.
English holds a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an undergraduate degree in journalism from Indiana University.
