Trauma-Informed Counseling

Every child in our care has experienced trauma–abuse, neglect, poverty, violence and injustice.

Our transformative, trauma-informed counseling programs use a clinical framework called Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC) to encourage our clients’ psychological, emotional and social growth.

This ensures our youth have the support, tools, and resources they need to continue their healing journey, achieve their goals, and become independent adults who lead meaningful, productive lives.

Becoming Me empowers youth and prevents violence by helping them achieve a deeper, stronger sense of self and their future goals.

Kids Above All’s Camp Sheilah provides year-round, trauma-informed mental health support for youth ages 7-17 who have lost a loved one to homicide.

Therapy and clinical support for children, youth, families, and individuals experiencing mental health issues, life challenges, and trauma. Services are available in Cook, DuPage, Kane, and Lake counties.

KAA’s counseling services are covered by most insurance plans.
