Zaya Gillogly, LCSW aims to build a working alliance with each person that she works with. Born and raised on Chicago’s Northside, she’s proud to be working in the city that shaped her. After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at Ohio University, Zaya returned home to complete her Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in mental health at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Zaya has more than seven years of clinical experience supporting children, teens, young adults, and their families. She is skilled in working with those who have experienced physical or emotional abuse, developmental trauma, neglect, domestic violence, separation, divorce, grief, loss, foster care, and adoption. She also works with those navigating depression, anxiety, and Attention-Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) symptoms. While she sees youth of all ages, she specializes in working with children ages 2-12.
Zaya is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Theraplay® Practitioner, Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner, and is working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist™ (RPT™). Zaya has additional training in Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC), Sandtray Therapy, Adlerian Play Therapy, Child Centered Play Therapy, Internal Family Systems, adoption-competent mental health, and art-based techniques.
