Family Child Care Homes
Keeping Kids Safe & Helping Families Succeed
The Family Child Care Homes Program (FCCH) connects income-eligible families with our network of DCFS-licensed, in-home childcare providers. This program’s outreach is threefold: children learn, grow and play in a safe, nurturing and fun environment; parents work or attend school to improve their family’s financial stability; and providers earn a steady income and receive ongoing training.
The program is funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) Child Care Assistance Program, which helps families connect with and pay for child care.
